My name is Max Tello. I am a Communications, Information and Development Programmes Consultant with 25 years of experience advisoring and leading projects in Africa and Latin America.

I am Peruvian and I have a Licence in Communication Sciences. University of Lima. Philosophy Studies. Catholic University of Lima. MSc. studies on Information Technology (University of Liverpool), Post Graduate on Population Studies (University of Costa Rica).

I worked for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as Behavior Change Communication and Advocacy regional Adviser for Africa, based in Zimbabwe but working in the whole region: South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda, Mozambique, Angola, Sao Tome, and others. (2004-2008)

I am Consultant with WHO and UNFPA (2001-2004, 2008-2009) doing Communication and Social Mobilization for Reproductive Health (UNFPA), Polio, Yelow Fever and Measles (WHO) programmes in Angola, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Uganda. There I did planning, media production (video, television, advertising, radio, prints, websites and multimedia DVDs) management, evaluation and research.

Before I worked for Johns Hopkins University-Center for Communication Programs Communication. For them I was Country Representative for Peru, and consultant for Paraguay, Mozambique, Ecuador and Bolivia. (1996-2000). Then I did Planning, media production (video, television, advertising, radio, prints, multimedia) management, evaluation and research.

I have been Professor and Researcher at the University of Lima, Peru. School of Communication Sciences(1981-1999). I taught Communication for development, communication research and evaluation, communication theory. I have been Professor of Master degrees in communications and public health. (1997-2001) in the University of Brasilia (Brazil), University Cayetano Heredia (Lima, Peru), Private University of Santa Cruz (Bolivia).

I am Fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with fair knowledge of French and Italian.

My software knowledge is: Windows, Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point). Multimedia: Dreamweaver, Flash, Front Page, XML, XHTML, Video editors: Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle studio. Publisher: Adobe InDesign, Pagemaker, Quark Express, Adobe photoshop, Picture it, Corel Draw. Projects: Microsoft Project.Data Process: SPSS, STATA.
